Public Art Panel

In this conversation, Charlie Todd, founder of Improv Everywhere, and Claire Feuer, founder of Subway Social Club discuss activating strangers in public space, and creating community through play, conversations, and joy-making. The discussion was moderated by Art Plus People's founder, Matthew Chavez.

Essential New York

As a part of the Jane’s Walk NYC (from Home) festival in May, MAS partnered with Subway Therapy and City Lore to gather a collection of observations and stories about the essential places that make New York, New York – the ones we cherish and miss most while staying home, and why. From the bodega on your corner block, to a beloved community garden or a local bakery, New Yorkers shared about hundreds of spaces that collectively weave meaning and memory into the fabric of our city.

Creative Lunch

In March, 2020 we were looking for ways to connect and inspire digitally, and we started with simple idea. Invite inspired creators, and ask them how they do what they do. Creative Lunch was about spending time munching on tasty ideas. For several months, incredible creatives and community builders provided food for thought by sharing their creative process, how they turned dreams into reality, and what it means to create with purpose.
