Conversations will be added here as they are planned!
Art as Infrastructure
In this panel discussion, Charlie Todd, founder of Improv Everywhere, and Claire Feuer, founder of Subway Social Club discuss activating strangers in public space, and creating community through play, conversations, and joy-making. The discussion was moderated by Art Plus People's founder, Matthew Chavez.
These conversations are part of a larger series on Art as Infrastructure, where professionals from many different sectors of public life discuss the importance of art as a vital component of a thriving, resilient, connected society, and the series has been put together by Art Plus People and The Feast.
The video quality is... not great. We were live streaming from prospect park and the internet was meh. But the conversation is great!
Essential New York
As a part of the Jane’s Walk NYC (from Home) festival in May, MAS partnered with Subway Therapy and City Lore to gather a collection of observations and stories about the essential places that make New York, New York – the ones we cherish and miss most while staying home, and why. From the bodega on your corner block, to a beloved community garden or a local bakery, New Yorkers shared about hundreds of spaces that collectively weave meaning and memory into the fabric of our city.
